akuig is an Irish SME building Telepath AI, a vendor-agnostic Model Context Protocol (MCP) middleware layer that allows AI agents to take governed, auditable actions across siloed OSS & BSS systems rather than only reading from them. It complements RAG, which gives an agent knowledge, by supplying the sovereign & secure control plane to interact with live network elements.
What we contribute to a consortium:
Interoperability. Adapters expose heterogeneous vendor systems through TM Foru, GSMA & CAMARA Open APIs (e.g. TMF621, TMF622, TMF629, TMF637, TMF640) as MCP tools, decoupling agents from vendor-specific interfaces. We also provide vendor-specific implementations (e.g. Ericsson ENM)
Governance. A four-tier progressive risk model takes an operation from read-only, through assisted & autonomous, to closed-loop business intelligence, with human-in-the-loop approval gates on high-risk actions & a correlated audit record of every request, decision & outcome.
Sovereignty. The architecture deploys inside the operator or infrastructure boundary, with no requirement to export network or subscriber data to a third-party model provider.
Dataset generation. Because every agent action is captured with its context, approval decision & result, the platform produces schema-conformant, provenance-rich operational datasets suitable for training & evaluating network AI models, plus synthetic multi-site operator estates for safe experimentation.
Evidence. Telepath AI was demonstrated as the TM Forum’s DTW Ignite 2026, running against live operator infrastructure & integrating systems from multiple network & IT vendors (Ericsson, Huawei, Keysight, SecurityGen), with operator champions in Asia & the Middle East (Singtel, Singtel, STC).
The founding team has four decades in telecoms, including pioneering SMS, in the 1990s.
