In terms of network engineering, ITI has been researching about different technologies such as WSN, Bluetooth, LoRaWAN, SDN, WiFi and 5G communications. Considering this background, ITI is currently researching in integration, adaptation and homogeneization of industral protocols and enriched services into 5G networks, integration of edge computing and compatibility with cloud services to boost in-network computing mobility and AI deployment. Furthermore, ITI has research interests in the compatibility of non-3GPP networks within the 5G architecture. All in all, ITI is integrated in an ecosystem of SMEs available to play as placeholders for project use cases.
ITI (Instituto Tecnológico de la Informática) is a non-profit research institution located in Valencia (Spain), which staff is composed by more than 300 employees from different backgrounds: multidisciplinary researchers, university lecturers and technical officers.
Several topics are being developed (from Process Optimization to Advanced Communications), with the purpose to enable new technologies to the large quantity of companies, that are located in Spain and abroad. Furthermore, ITI is surrounded by partners at regional, national and international level with different necessities to adapt their infrastructure to a more interconnected level.
