This project aims to test teleoperation of road vehicles via B5G/6G in industrial environments, Particularly, it aims to test autonomous vehicles with pre-determined routes in which a teleoperator can overtake control remotely to operate it in situations of potential risk or to travel to particular destination points. We aim to test this in industrial environments where they can serve a double purpose: transportation of persons and goods; and performing security rounds.
-As a security asset: it can cover long distances in large industrial plants and detect risks thanks to its cameras powered by AI. It can also pick up security guards, who can later take control of the car onsite to travel to a particular site; and return back to its rounds after the guard has left the car.
-As a transportation asset: it can help move goods and materials from and to different destination points within the plant, saving time and effort to operators. It can also pick up and carry a number of operators from specific points and then return to perform rounds, pick up another group, or autonomously go back to the parking area saving time for operators.
The proposal is focused in implemeting a pilot with this particular focus, testing an innovative use case for 6G.
