Detection of emerging technology fields in semantically linked patent and scientific article networks, obtain semantic descriptions for detected clusters and study emergence process in detail. Identification of the profiles and key properties of the knowledge embedded in emerging clusters, including
1. Measurement at the technology level, i.e., technological metrics (complexity, lag relations, growth rates, science-intensity, interdisciplinarity, among others…).
2.Competition and market analysis. Technological and Industrial competition, Revealed Comparative Advantages at the firm/country level, linkages to product space.
3.Geography (geographic concentration, diffusion).
which will be used for profiling and future predictions/extrapolation. We thus take into account market potential, competition, geographic advantage or disadvantage (distance to existing knowledge and technology clusters/centers), and key properties of the knowledge embedded in invention (such as complexity, rates of development and learning, …etc).
We are looking consortium/partners that directly work in technology development and would find value from our work and results, and/or the software product that will be released. More valuable for early TRLs.
Value we bring includes,
1. Information of strategic value, some foresight. Key inputs for evaluating or choosing development paths, roadmapping.
2. Market information, product space link (Commercialization aid –information, analysis and tools to facilitate commercialization).
3. Actors, key networks (planning future collaborations).
4.Project-specific questions and decision-making problems: Qualitative forecasting and decision-making tools (Expert Judgement Quantification, Delphi, AHP,…).
5.In general, the Technology and Innovation Management perspective and methods. Entrepreneurial perspective.
